The Chinese government has finally congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for winning the U.S. presidential election over the last weekends.
In a press statement released by the Chinese ministry of foreign affairs, their leader, Xi Jinping, applauded Joe and Harris for fighting a good fight and emerging as the victors after all was done and dusted.

China was previously among some major countries including Russia, Brazil, and Mexico that had not congratulated the president-elect as they were waiting for the votes to be confirmed by the US Electoral College next month.
