Chiji Collins, Speaker of the Imo State House Assembly has been impeached by state lawmakers on Friday, November 13.
Out of the 27 lawmakers that had gathered at the legislative chamber in Owerri where the decision was taken, 19 voted in favour of his impeachment.

His impeachment was based on reports of gross misconduct, financial impropriety, high handedness and more.
When the impeachment was done with, he was replaced by Mr. Paul Emeziem through an election.
