The African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) which took place in 1963 saw the Ghanaian team representing the country raising the flag of Ghana very high by winning the cup.

According to reports, the AFCON which took place in 1963 saw Ghana hosting the football occasion which also ended with Ghana winning the title.

Wilberforce Mfum was the first player to score for Ghana with Edward Acquah becoming the player with the most goals of four after the African Cup Of Nations came to an end.

The former players have set the path for the new breed who are currently in Doha as they prepare for the African Cup Of Nations which would take place in Cameron next year.
