VIDEO – Meet Charlie Moon, The 70-year-Old Underground Artiste Who Has 30 Songs

A Latest discovery in a video sighted by Gossips24.com is one 70-year old underground artiste who has 30-songs to his crediy, known as Charlie Moon.

Born Vincent Boateng Kumi, but known professionally as Charlie Moon, is a Ghanaian who started music since his secondary school days and was professionally introduced to the industry in the year 1970 where he was a member of a band as a drummer and singer.

Charlie Moon in his early days stayed in New York where he studied interior design, but flew back to Ghana after four years of his study.

Speaking on Zylofon 102.1FM`s flagship morning show called Showbiz Agenda and hosted by Sammy Flex, Charlie Moon revealed he has been doing music professionally since 1985, where he tried to release songs but his efforts were to no avail.

He revealed that he has three albums and about 30 songs that he is yet so release.

The host, Sammy Flex, who was left in shock asked whether he hasn’t released any song yet, Charlie Moon hinted that not even a single song of his is in the public domain since 1985.

Continuing, Charlie Moon revealed that he is an Afropop and R&B singer despite mounting a stage as far back as 1972, he still has confidence and can perform with the same energy as the new crop of artiste.

He further stated that though music hasn’t paid him yet, he still goes to the studio to record and believes it’s one day going to pay off and that’s why he is still pushing.

He concluded by sending a message out to Kuami Eugene, Kwesi Arthur and Kidid that they should watch out for him, he will take them by surprise.

Currently, Charlie Moon is a trader with three kids (all boys), his eldest son being 38yrs-old, and he’s still trying to release a song.
