Castro’s father angrily blasts the organizers of VGMAs for failing to consult him before putting up a tribute performance for his son

Unfortunately, Castro is now legally dead after going missing for the past 7 years now. The father of the late Ghanaian make vocalist has bashed the organizers of the VGMAs for failing to consult him before putting up a tribute performance for his son.

It can be recalled that during the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata and Kurl Songx performed some of Castro’s songs in a grand style to honour their late colleague.

Reacting to this, Castro’s father said the organizers did not inform him about such a decision and he deems it very disrespectful.

During an interview with one of the Accra based radio station(s), the bitter father is reported to have said;

They did not consult me before they went ahead with a tribute performance for my son. What I expected was that they come to see me and let me know that this is what they want to do but that didn’t happen. I take it that these persons were not brought up well

I saw a flyer pointing to the effect that there was a tribute event in memory of my son but I moved in to prevent that. I’ve seen that they have changed the flyer to Obofour Show. I won’t allow such things

Castro’s father expressed these grievances with the argument that no one holds the right to organize a tribute event for his son since he has not been legally pronounced dead.
