Watch the hilarious moment NPP’s Carlos Ahenkora turned into a spiderman to snatch ballots during the NDC’s counting
MP-elect for Tema East, Hon Carlos Ahenkora pulled in some hilarious yet consequential stunts after he realized that all else had failed and the NDC’s Alban Bagbin will be the next speaker of parliament under the ruling NPP government, the first of it’s kind in the history of Ghana’s politics.
In a funny video which has taken over social media trends, Carlos Ahenkorah was caught red-handed whiles trying to snatch the NDC’s ballots and vanishing into thin air with them.
This humorous incident happened just last midnight in the parliament’s floor during the process of the solemnization of the 8th parliament.
After the counting of votes for Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye was done, the NPP’s chief scribe who sensed defeat snatched the ballot papers from the Clerk and bolted away with them
Prior to the snatching of the ballots, the NDC legislators were singing and jubilating after they got to know that their candidate, Alban Bagbin, had won the secret votes.
He was quickly chased by the Asawase’s MP-elect, Hon Muntaka Mohammed who accosted him and retrieved the ballots.
