Grammy award-winning rapper, Cardi B has joined the campaign demanding an end to the police brutality in Nigeria as she called on President Muhammadu Buhari to fix things.
Cardi B who visited Nigeria a year ago and said she adored the nation has become the most recent global superstar to add her voice to the issue.
Taking to her Instagram page to speak out, Cardi B called on Buhari to help curb tensions in Nigeria.
She argued that Nigerian citizens are Nigeria. “If your people in your country are tired of the shit the police are doing.. just abusing people .. bro just get that sh*t fixed.”
“The people make the country. If the people are happy .. the people wanna wanna work wanna wanna produce wanna wanna fight for their country and thats just that. I’m just saying this because I love Nigeria.”
As reported earlier, #EndSARS protests in Lagos turned bloody yesternight after military officers shot protestors at Lekki Toll Gate, an incident the Lagos State governor and the Nigerian Army have described as false.
Numerous international celebrities around the world have over the course of time condemned what’s happening in Nigeria and Cardi B, who considers herself a spiritual Nigerian has also added her voice.
