BREAKING: Chairman Wontumi Finally Submits Bid To Buy Chelsea

Ghanaian business mogul and politician, Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has submitted a bid to buy Chelsea.

This comes after the NPP bigwig expressed his interest in buying the current holders of the UEFA Champions League following an official press release from owner Roman Abramovich to sell the club amidst the Russian-Ukraine war.

The Russian billionaire is said to have close ties with President Vladimir Putin, whose invasion of Ukraine has led to several deaths and injuries.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Wontumi FM, Chairman Wontumi said his gold-mining business can finance his purchase of the club.

“What I want to do now is to buy Chelsea Football Club. I’m a businessman, I do gold mining and [I can afford] £3 billion,” he said.

In an official letter sighted by Gossips24.com, Chairman Wontumi has submitted a bid of £3.1 billion to the London club as he waits for a reply from the club.
