Bobi Wine bashes the Ugandan government for detaining Omah Lay and Tems

Two of Nigeria’s music superstars, Omah Lay and Tems have been detained by the Ugandan Police for breaching COV!D-19 protocols to perform at a music event.

This development has caused a public uproar on the internet as many netizens have raised concerns that they should be freed because they were not the ones who organized the open-space event.

This worrisome event has forced Ugandan politician, singer, actor, and businessman Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known by his stage name Bobi Wine to lend his voice to the fight against the arrest of these two entertainers

According to him, the arrest of Nigerian musicians Omah Lay And Tems is not about COVID-19 as reported by the Ugandan Police.

He firmly stated that it is rather; “an act of shame by a corrupt regime that operates on double standards.”

Truth is #OmahLay‘s arrest isn’t about COVID. No! It’s an act of shame by a corrupt regime that operates on double standards. He obtained a work permit & performed under police protection! Why arrest him? This as pro-Museveni artists stage street concerts unmolested! #FreeOmahLay
