Barcelona And PSG Meeting Ends Without Any Agreement On Neymar

A high-level meeting between Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain ended without an agreement over the transfer of Neymar, report Diario SPORTandRAC1.

According to rumors, there was optimism from Barça’s camp and Neymar’s entourage, with some sources going as far as to say there was an agreement in place. However, it seems we will continue waiting.

While no deal has been struck as of yet, that doesn’t mean that the operation is dead. In fact, it can still happen at any moment before the summer transfer window shuts.

SPORT reports an offer that has been echoed by several media outlets: 170 million euros for the transfer of the player, paid in two equal installments. However, their report says PSG want 100 million plus Ousmane Dembélé and Nélson Semedo.

Neymar himself has reportedly acted as an important part of the possible transfer. Not only has he reportedly told PSG he does not want to remain in Paris, he also supposedly has blocked a move to Real Madrid.

Barça are said to not want to let Semedo go. Meanwhile, while it’s said that they would consider moving Dembélé on, the player himself is unwilling to leave.

RAC1 reports that the negotiation will continue and that both Barcelona and Neymar’s entourage are confident the deal will go through. Crucially, PSG have lowered their demands for the Brazilian, RAC1 says, as they are no longer asking to recoup the 222 million they spent to bring him from Barça.
