Bandits kill 18 people in Kaduna State communities

Armed bandits are said to have killed eighteen people, including a police officer in attacks on five communities in Chawai chiefdom, Kauru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The attacks took place in the settlements of Kigom, Kikoba, Kishisho, and Ungwan Magaji on Monday morning, August 2.

The attackers attacked the community in huge numbers, shooting sporadically, according to a Kigom resident who wanted anonymity. According to him, one individual died as a result of the incident.

Six people were reportedly killed in Ungwan Magaji, six in Kikoba, one in Kigom, and five in Kishisho, according to reports.

He said;

The invaders destroyed property worth millions of naira including farmlands in the affected areas,”
