Asamoah Gyan joins Legon Cities FC, will earn $1 million salary

General Captain of Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, aka Baby Jet has joined Legon Cities FC in a record-breaking transfer in the Ghana Premier League.

The announcement of the Black Stars all-time top scorer is expected to be made in the coming hours.

Gyan, who has been without a club since January, has agreed to a deal with the Legon-based club after Asante Kotoko failed to meet his demands.

The club gave a hint on their twitter timeline saying, “Something big is coming up.”

We are told Gyan has agreed to a four-year deal which will see him earn a $1 million annual salary.

As part of the deal, Gyan has asked the Ghana Premier League side to sign teenage sensation Mathew Cudjoe.

Cudjoe played on loan last season at Kotoko but the Porcupine Warriors could not sign him on a permanent deal.

We will bring you an update on the unveiling of Asamoah Gyan.
