Ama K Abebrese exposes a pharmacy that tried to sell a nose mask to her for 150 cedis
Officers of the Ghana police service have started arresting citizens who parade the streets without a nose mask. With this new development, it has now become mandatory policy for each and every son or daughter of the Republic to step out with a nose mask on.
Actress and movie producer Ama K Abrebrese has exposed and shamed a big pharmacy in Accra which has taken advantage of the pandemic to make excess wealth by selling nose maks at outrageous prices since the demands for them are now high.
As narrated by the award-winning actress and movie producer, she went to one of the pharmacy shops in Accra to purchase a pack of a nose mask and shockingly; The shop attendant told her it costs 150 cedis.
Sensing something fishy, hat she immediately walked out and went to a different pharmacy shop where she bought the same pack for GHC 35.
She wrote;
I went to a pharmacy in Accra to buy a box of disposable nose masks and was shocked to be told the price is 150 GHC for a box of 50 pieces. Clear liberties.
So I told them, no thank you. I went to another pharmacy, and a box of 50 pieces of disposable nose masks is 35 GHC.”
