Nairobi Kenya: Governor Alfred Mutua on Sunday separated from his youthful girlfriend Lilian Ng’ang’a. In a Facebook post made by the governor on Sunday, he stated that they have been blessings to each other but the time has come for them to go their separate ways.
The governor added that even though Lilian will no longer be the first lady of Machakos County, she will be his first advisor should he decide to run for president.

There is a song by Roger Whittaker that has the line: “the first time we said hello, we started to say goodbye.”Lillian and I have been a blessing to each other. Two months ago, we decided to slowly disengage. We are in amicable terms and remain very close as friends.
We will continue to talk, meet and share ideas constantly. Lillian has been an excellent First Lady and even though she will do some projects under the Lillian Nganga foundation, we have agreed she can continue with her county projects.She will be a close advisor as I Govern Machakos County and run for President because I trust her sharp insight and heart. She has always been my number one fan.
Our love for each other is permanent but I think at times, space and new directions are important.I thank God for bringing Lillian into my life and the many ways we have made each other grow. We have had a laugh and at times a tear but all in all we have been a power couple and very happy.
We celebrate life and are pleased that we have reached this decision in a mature, agreeable manner.I am a happy and blessed man and we have agreed we will protect and support each other.
Before Lilian Ng’ang’a came into the picture in 2014, the former government Spokesman was married to Josephine Thitu Maundu in 2000.
Their marriage however hit the rock in 2015, due to irreconcilable differences. They were blessed with 3 children ( A boy and a Twin ) which are in the custody of the former wife Josephine Thitu Maundu.
Dr. Alfred Mutua’s first wife Dr. Josephine Thitu married Mr. Alfred Mutua on 1st July, 2OOO in the capital Nairobi.
Dr. Alfred Mutua and his current girlfriend Lilian Ng’anga also decided to end a relationship that started in 2014 and was made official in 2015 when Lilian was just 29 years old,15 years younger than Dr. Alfred Mutua.
Alfred and Lilian have no children.
