Akufo-Addo to deliver State of the Nation address Tuesday

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to deliver his state-of-the-nation address in Parliament on Tuesday, March 9.

This was announced by Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on Tuesday, March 2, when the House resumed after a three-week break.

It will be in fulfillment of Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.

“The President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation,” the Constitution demands.

The delivery in Parliament is expected to be done by the president’s representative at the Ministry of Finance.
