President of the Republic of Ghana has donated his three subsequent months’ salary to help fight the novel coronavirus.
He made this known when addressing Ghanaians for the fourth time on measures to combat the virus.
He stated that he has established the COVID-19 fund which is aimed at addressing the financial situation of the needy and the vulnerable in these trying times.
The committee responsible for this fund is chaired by former Chief Justice, Sophia Akufo adding that he has directed the Controller and Accountant General to pay his three months salary into the fund account.
