Gunshots allegedly fired as Agbogbloshie scrap dealers clash with the military (Video)

Just days after the Ejura infamous shooting spree that birthed from the alleged assassination of famous #Fixthe country activist well known as Kaaka.

A new disturbing report coming in from Agbogbloshie alleges that there was unrest in the area earlier this afternoon resulting in the firing of gunshots after the military clashed with the scrap dealers in the vicinity.

At the moment, the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council has embarked on an aggressive decongestion exercise and that has affected some scrap dealers operating at the Agbogbloshie market.

The scrap dealers and onion traders at the affected areas have been instructed to move to Adjen Kotoku to help free the congestion in the central business district (CBD) of Accra as part of the agenda “Make Accra work” but it appears the ‘stubborn’ scrap dealers are not ready to move an inch.

In a video that has popped up on the internet which is an extract from the incident, the scrap dealers were caught on tape burning tyres and protesting against their relocation with the argument that they have not been served with an eviction notice prior to the decongestion exercise.
