“Africa must do away with old traditions” – Asem throws his support for LGBTQI members

The issue of LGBTQI has come up recently significantly in the country particularly after the commissioning of their office space at an unknown location in the country.

During the recent ministerial vetting, some minister-designates were questioned about their views on the subject.

The Minister-Designate for Gender, Madam Adwoa Safo said during vetting that the illegality of homosexuality is non-negotiable.

In light of that Ghanaian rapper Asem has added his voice the heated debate.

Asem born Nana Wiafe Asante-Mensah urged Ghanaians to protect the rights of the members of the LGBTQI community.

He said love is the only way to survival and that Africa must do away with some old traditions that infringe on common human rights to love and respect.
