A petition has allegedly been filed against Lawyer Dominic Kwadwo Osei, a junior lawyer at Baba Jamal & Associates, for professional misconduct and unethical behaviour. The petition, dated 21st April 2026, was submitted by Frederick Sani of Achimota, Accra to the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council.
The case stems from legal disputes following the death of musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba. After his passing, Madam Akosua Serwaa Fosuh allegedly filed a suit seeking a declaration that she is the sole legal wife. The Kumasi High Court allegedly ruled that both she and Priscilla Ofori, known as Odo Broni, are legal surviving spouses. Madam Akosua Serwaa Fosuh allegedly appealed, and the matter remains pending at the Court of Appeal.
Separately, Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu allegedly sued Madam Akosua Serwaa Fosuh and three others at the Accra High Court to stop them from organizing events in Daddy Lumba’s name. Baba Jamal & Associates allegedly commenced that suit. While Dominic Kwadwo Osei is allegedly not the lawyer on record, the petition claims he attends court to conduct the case.
The petition alleges Osei opened a TikTok account, @lawyerosei, where he allegedly ran “regular in-depth commentaries” after court sessions for Odo Broni supporters. He allegedly posted court documents, including an interlocutory injunction, and held live Q&A sessions. In one alleged post, he claimed “arrest mode activated” for Madam Akosua Serwaa Fosuh’s sympathizers after one Queen Emma was arrested. He also allegedly posted a video of himself eating fufu in a tunic shirt to “spite” her supporters.
The petitioner alleges Osei’s conduct “inflames conflict” and brings the legal profession into “serious disrepute.” TikTok posts and pen drives with videos were allegedly attached as evidence.
The petition asks the Disciplinary Committee to investigate and take appropriate action. These remain allegations. The General Legal Council has not ruled, and Dominic Kwadwo Osei has not publicly responded.
More indepth facts to be released should incase the matter comes to the public domain.
