Take it or leave it, Lydia Forson is among the intelligent ladies we have in the entertainment circle here in Ghana and the movie industry to be precised.
In series of tweets, Miss Lydia Forson, who indicated clearly that her tweets aren’t attacks, has highlighted on few things that most critics have turned a blind eye on.
And this isn’t an attack, it’s for you to understand why many of us get emotional whenever our industry is spoken on with condescension, dismissiveness and reduced to just a case of “why can’t they be like Hollywood”.Hopefully we can have an honest conversation about this. Cheers

Last year, Gabby Otchere Darko who is one of the governing New Patriotic Party stalwarts criticized movies produced in Ghana describing them with unprintable words.
He received a backlash from people in the movie industry for speaking ill on an industry where they have to do everything on their own.
But in a related story, actress Lydia Forson has lashed out at Ghanaians who criticize the poor movie industry.
To her, they should be given a break because there is no investment in the industry and therefore they work very hard to ensure that movies are produced in the country.
She revealed that Ghanaians aren’t willing to invest in the industry. She hinted on her personal attempt to seek aid from Tourism& Information Ministries and also the French Embassy respectively but to her surprise only one responded positively – the French Embassy.
In one of her tweets, she addressed Gabby Otchere Darko as she announced her movie, Keteke has been selected as the opening film at FESPACO, the BIGGEST film festival in Africa(50yrs) and the first since Kwaw Ansah’s Heritage Africa in 1997. And it is however sad that the French Embassey is sponsoring a crew to go represent us on such a significant day.
