Popular Kumasi based pastor and leader of Open Arms Ministry, Apostle Kofi Nkansah Sarkodie has been slapped with two charges by the Asokwa District circuit court.
Apostle Kofi Nkansah Sarkodie has been arrested on two separate occasions for the same offense – Defying the president’s orders by holding a church service.
He was brought before the law court today and was charged with unlawful assembly contrary to Section 202 and Offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace contrary to Section 207(1) of Criminal Offences Act of 1960.
The Asokwa District Court also granted bail to eight ministers of the gospel and church elders including Apostle Sarkodie who congregated in contravention to the presidential ban on church activities.
They were granted GH¢ 10,000.00 bail each with two sureties to reappear in court on March 26, 2020.
