The football fan who collected his name yesterday for invading the pitch during the Ghana Black Stars game against South Africa has finally broken silence.
In the 74th minute of the match, a man outrun some security men and made his way onto the pitch.
According to him, he stormed the park just to take some selfie with Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.
The guy recognized as Awal Sulemana spoke for the first time after his arrest.
“I heard they (Black Stars) will be stopping at Mankessim, but I knew the only opportunity I had to take a picture with Thomas Partey was on the field, that is why I rushed there”, he said.
The police have confirmed that the Awal Sulemana will be prosecuted.
