Rising reggae-dancehall artiste, Derrick Obobbie Junior, popularly known as J Derobie has revealed sports betting has done some good for Ghanaian youths and should be commended for that also.

According to J Derobie, sports betting has minimized the rate at which Ghanaian youths would have engaged in armed robbery since there are no jobs.

Speaking in an interview on Class FM with Prince Benjamin (Chauffeur PB), he said, “Betting is good, betting is good. It has helped most of the youth, it has pushed some of them from stealing and all that”. 

His comments comes as no surprise since the Poverty singer is known to be one of the faces of Betpawa, and was also born through their initiative in collaboration with Mr Eazi, dubbed EMPAWA.
