Renowned Ghanaian comedian Richmond Xavier Amoakoh, alias Lawyer Nti has descended heavily on Starrfmonline for exhibiting high level of unprofessionalism in their report on the missing Takoradi girls.
The girls, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Ruthlove Quayeson and Priscilla Mantsebeah Koranchie were kidnapped separately last year.
The Police last Friday announced the retrieval of bodies from a septic tank in a building previously occupied by the key suspect, Samuel Wills.
The statement further said the remains have been sent to the forensic science laboratory for analysis and further investigation.
But Starrfmonline reporting the news stated emphatically that the human remains found by the police were that of the three missing girls.
Something Lawyer Nti could not fathom because it completely contradicts the press statement released by the police.
Taking to his official Instagram account in a post sighted by Gossips24.com, he registered his disappointment in the media outlet for doing an unprofessional job.
Lawyer Nti indicated, painting a picture that the three girls have been found dead, whilst is not so, will negatively affect the families of these girl.
He, however, called on the EIB Network owned news portal to do the needful in their subsequent reporting.
The post sighted by Gossips24.com read;
“Why are some Ghana Media houses and Journalists so mischievous and careless? When news broke of the Police finding body parts behind the house of the kidnapper of the 3 Takoradi girls, almost all the reports I’m seeing are saying dead bodies of the 3 girls have been found. So far only @citi973fm has managed to capture the issue as it is and even went to the extent of adding the police’s media release on the issue. This is a very delicate issue. Why would you say “confirmed” when the police are yet to come out and categorically say it with the backing evidence? @starr1035fm online, who confirmed for you people that the bodies found are of the 3 girls? Do you know what your false reportage can do to the families of these girls? What kind of journalism is that? Shame on all of you. Some journalists don’t even have time to fact-check, they just copy and paste the false reportage. Y’all can do better! Kudos to Citi News and the few others who are giving us facts! Thank you.”
