Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, known by the alias Stonebwoy has retracted his statement on bloggers promoting negative news freely but charge to promote positive news.
Entertainment Bloggers have often been tagged as promoters of negative news than positive news. This has been an argument with many calling for regulations in the creative arts sector.
Arts writers, especially entertainment bloggers bashed Stonebwoy for making ungrateful statements on twitter yesterday.
The dancehall artiste via series of tweets made it known that bloggers push negative stories more. He revealed that one blogger charged him for his positive stories to be published but he is definitely sure if it was negative it would have been pushed for free.
After receiving the backlash from bloggers, the artiste in question who has been one of the musicians in Ghana who has benefited greatly from bloggers, Stonebwoy has made a u-turn by showering praises on bloggers.
Taking to twitter again, he lauded the contribution of bloggers and media personalities to the growth of the industry and the image of Ghana.
He tweeted; “I’m super thankful for the media in total not only bloggers who have supported and continue to support not only my works or the creative and arts only but works across all spheres Entertainmnet,sports,movies,spoken word, writers, academic excellence, governance etc.. “
