The Ghanaian highlife singer who took active part in campaigning for the current government in a recent interview has revealed how he has regretted campaigning for the NPP and vowed not to campaign for any political party again.
Kwabena Kwabena, who was speaking on Adom FM, revealed that the citizens are going through a lot yet the politicians enjoy free things after giving fat salaries.
He said:
Our elected officials are heartless and indifferent to the misery of the populace.
although they are meant to serve Ghana, they really just serve themselves. By paying their bills, giving them free gas, and presenting them with significant stipends, we are actually doing them a favor.
Learning about the benefits that many of our government leaders receive “is troubling.”
In a country as poor as Ghana, how can we develop and earn high wages while giving ministers huge allowances, including DSTV bills? “Imagine if the person needed to murder to obtain political power; he/she would do it and it is really unpleasant,” the speaker says as a result.
