Ghanaian internet sensation, Twene Jonas is back this week on the gram – as usual to rant and spit venom on politicians while reacting to the e-levy saga.
The e-levy has become a central topic for discussion in Ghana since the Government through the Ministry of Finance proposed the electronic transaction tax during the last year’s budget for 2022.
Many Ghanaians have expressed their displeasure since the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, announced the government’s decision to introduce the electronic transaction levy.
Many have taken to social media to chastise the move and have described the policy to loot the average Ghanaian of the little income he makes.
Twene Jonas reacting to the ongoing e-levy brouhaha, descended heavily on the government and quizzed why the government will impose such tax on market women who don’t make much money from their petty trading.
He quickly switched to praise Osei Kwame Despite for buying the latest Bugatiti which costs $3m.
According to him, the $3m can buy Kumasi because Chairman Wontumi and Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu have deteriorated the Kumasi city.
He also descended on the Asantehene Otumfour for allowing the politicians to destroy Kumasi which used to be the most popular and beautiful city in Africa.
Kumasi city earned its nickname Garden City because of its beauty but has lost its beauty over the years.
