Member of parliament for Nhyiaeso Dr. Stephen Amoah has come out to reveal that the government is putting things in place to punish all those below 18 years engaged in bet staking.
According to Dr. Sephen Amoah, a new bylaw has been made and would soon be implemented in the country so that they can be able to curb all those below the legal age from engaging in it.
The minister who was speaking during an interview on ‘Abusua Nkomo’ on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm revealed that the new directive which is been worked on by the government would help put an end to the crimes in the country.
According to him a lot of youth steal from their parents so they can be able to stake some of the games with the hope that they would gain some income when their bet wins.
“We at Nhyiaeso are going to start arresting children under 18 years who we see at the various betting companies even if they have been sent by their parents as well as arresting anyone seen holding any alcholic substance or hard drugs
