Residents of Nkoranza in the Bono East Region have beaten a 21-year-old man after he was caught engaging in homosexuality in the community.
The incident which took place on Wednesday, October 6, was said to have led some youth into beating the young man identified as Yaw Barima in the room where he was caught having s3x with another man.
According to reports the youth in Nkoranza were said to have gotten angry that a resident who knew about the directive issued by the traditional area’s Queen Mother, Nana Yaa Dudaa Kani I, condemns the activities of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, and Transgender people in the community.
In the video which has since gone viral, the young man was seen kneeling in front of the people as they chanted and made incantations over him as they slaughtered a sheep and poured libation as part of the purification rites done for him.
