Frank Lampard has been sacked by Chelsea as their club manager, Gossips24.com has gathered.
The 42-year-old former Chelsea midfielder leaves with the club ninth in the Premier League table after last week’s defeat at Leicester City, having won once in their past five league matches.
A statement by the club reads; “Recent results and performances have not met the Club’s expectations, leading the Club-mid table without any clear path to sustained improvement.”
In July 2019, Frank Lampard was appointed a three-year contract when he replaced Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
