More officials from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have stormed the premises of the Supreme Court of Ghanaian to file a petition over the 2020 general elections.
The suit was filed today, Wednesday, December 30, 2020, following the party‘s audit of the 2020 Presidential results “and extensive consultations with the National Executive Committee and Council of Elders of the party.”
The lawsuit follows weeks of street protests over alleged voter fraud and irregularities in the just-ended polls.
Per Article 64(1) of the 1992 Constitution, a petition challenging the validity of the election of the President should be filed at the Supreme Court within 21 days after the declaration of the results by the EC.
