Sad news has hit the presidency as Nana Akufo-Addo loses his director of research who is also a founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Victor Newman.
The shocking news comes just a day after the President, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo was declared the winner of the 2020 Presidential elections in Ghana.
According to an initial report by Asaase Radio, a source close to the family is reported to have disclosed that the presidential staffer died today, December 10, 2020, at the Legon Hospital in Accra.
Mr Victor Newman until his death was appointed as the Director of Research at the Presidency by President Akufo-Addo in 2017.
He also worked at the Economic Research and Planning Services of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Western Castings Limited, and the Ghana Exim Economic Consultants.
From 2008 till 2016, he served as the Director of Research for the electioneering campaigns of President Akufo-Addo. He was married and had four children.
