Arguably the “baddest” female rapper of all time, the illest and sickest barbie to ever do it, Nicki Minaj, has slammed the Recording Academy for not honouring her as the BEST NEW ARTIST in 2012
Following the nominee list for 2021 Grammy Award event, the female rap icon took to her Twitter page to bash the organisers for always awarding undeserving acts.
It can be recalled that during the 2012 Grammys, Bon Iver lashed Nicki and other nominees including Skrillex, J. Cole, and The Band Perry for the highly revered award.
She wrote on Twitter: “Never forget the Grammys didn’t give me my best new artist award when I had 7 songs simultaneously charting on Billboard & bigger first week than any female rapper in the last decade—went on to inspire a generation,” she wrote to her 21 million followers. “They gave it to the white man Bon Iver. #PinkFriday.”
