After winning 8 Awards, Self-acclaimed Dancehall hikg, Charles Nii Armah Mensah has been celebrating his success on social media and hailed organisers of the event for giving him what he deserves.
This time around, Shatta Wale is not fighting organisers of an award scheme because things went in his favour, especially now that he has won more than Stonebwoy – his fierce rival.
Last Saturday’s 3 Music Awards saw the ‘Gringo’ bag 8 awards which includes, Male Act Of The Year and Song Of The Year – two most prestigious awards of the night.
The aftermath of the event has been far from the usual – Shatta fighting organisers.
Shatta Wale has who was the opening act has taken to twitter to applaud organisers of the event.
We recall at the commencement of the voting, the academy board was attacked by Shatta fans who thought the board was made of people who have been criticising the artiste over the years.
The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker in a tweet admitted to the fact that his attention was drawn to this fact but he ignored because he knew the board was competent to award whom is due.
He tweeted: “I remember when someone told me the board of 3Music awards were full of multimedia people and those people don’t like me ,I told the person this award will show how competent they are and they did what they were suppose to do very right.”

They may not like me ,But if the music is right and have given me this opportunity to bag these solid 8 awards,then it means they know I deserve it and that what I call real showbizness..They have proven to Ghanaians that if you deserve it,you deserve it ..

He however cleared the thoughts of some who think the board didn’t want his wahala when things don’t go in his favour hence decided to award him. According to him, he earned this as a matter of hardwork and not his approach to matters.
“This is what we all need to do and support ourselves .. Everybody and his time of reign.Hardwork made them do this but not my approach to matters ..Thank you 3MUSIC Board ..I respect all your decisions..God bless you !,” he tweeted.
