Ghana’s Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah, well known as Shatta Wale has dedicated his Reggae Dancehall Act of the Year Awards to the late Willi Roi.
Willi Roi served at Zylofon Media as an Artist and Repertoire manager until the appointment of Bulldog saw him heading the Zylofon Arts Club until his sudden demise.
Whilst alive, Willi Roi was amongst the few people in the industry who carried Shatta Wale around like plantain chips. Willi believed in Shatta becoming Ghana’s biggest act.
Their friendship was an enviable but questionable one as many thought, Shatta bought Willi’s conscience with some cash.
Well, the ‘Gringo’ has once again honoured his old friend in a grand style at the second edition of 3Music Awards which is currently ongoing at the Fantasy Dome inside Trade Fair, La.
Shatta who has been crowned the Reggae Dancehall Act of the year ahead of his fierce rival, Stonebwoy, and old colleague ,Samini, sent a few words to Willi ‘The forkin’ Roi.
“I dedicate this Award to Willi Roi, Willi Roi always believed in me that I was going yo be great. Wherever you are I dedicate this award to you. I dedicate it to God, only God”, gossips24.com captured.
