Democrat’s Joe Biden has finally become the 46th President of the United States Of America after a knife-edged contest with Donald Trump.
Biden, who turns 78 at the end of this month, will become the oldest president when he is inaugurated into office in January 2021.
The former vice-president now yet to be sworn in president ultimately emerged victorious after a fierce campaign that stretched days past election night, as vote tallies in several swing states were slowed by an unprecedented surge in mail-in ballots.
Prior to this historic victory, Donald Trump had bitterly lamented the Democrats were inflating figures to steal the elections which was countered by the electoral commission as a false narrative and should be trashed by the general public.
Joe Biden’s win was marked by Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes which gracefully put him over the 270-vote threshold needed to win the famous Electoral College.
