100 kids below 15 years of age are infected with coronavirus – Ghana Health Service

A report by Ghana Health Service indicates that a total of 100 boys and girls under the age of 15 years have been infected with the coronavirus disease.

The reported has rubbished claims that the virus only infect the aged and those with underlying health conditions.

The statistics imply that at least one out of six cases of the 636 reported on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, are children below 15 years.

The data also showed that men in the age group of 35-44 years old were the highest while their female counterparts registered the lowest number of infections. In total, male infections recorded were more than half and accounted for 59% and the females were in the minority of 41%.

In other news, confirmed coronavirus case in Ghana hit increase to 636 with 8 deaths so far.
