Security Official involved in Sex-for-passport allegation suspended by Nigerian Embassy in Germany
A security officer attached to the Nigerian Embassy in Germany has been suspended by the embassy after a video of him a hotel room went viral on social media.
It was reported that, the now suspended security officer, identified simply as Mr. Martin, allegedly requested sex from a woman before having her passport renewed.
This was revealed in the viral video after a yet to be identified man was seen in a confrontation with Mr. Martin, having found the latter pants down in the hotel with the said lady, who he was alleged to have requested for sex before releasing her passport to her.
Mr. Martin was caught in the video saying “Let me explain, please. Please, it is not like that.” Well, all he could give as explanation when asked was “please, please, please.”
He was accused of demanding sex to carry out his job by the voice behind the camera, where the voice kept shouting “Your cup is full, Martin. Your time is up.”
Few hours after the video went viral on social media, the Nigerian embassy in Germany announced the suspension of the security official “with immediate effect.”
The embassy further pointed out how the said official had been accused of several allegations of sexual abuse and “other serious criminal activity in return for official services”.
The Nigeria’s Ambassador in Germany, Yusuf Tuggar, said the embassy had opened an investigation into the matter as no form of abuse would be condoned.
