A man whose name has been identified as Abdulrahim Dangana who fakes being gay just so he can be able to get nudes of gay people and blackmail them with it has been finally caught.
The man is said to registered himself on a Gay/Bisexual hook-up App and a website, using the assumed names: RYAN, DAVE, FRANK, and ERIC which he uses to defraud people.
According to reports by the police, the young man uses the fake profile to attract the gays into thinking he is one of them and eventually trusts him with their nudes which he uses to blackmail them later.
The young man between January and September 2021 was said to have taken over $8,420.00 from people who fall prey to his traps.
Abdulrahim Dangana who was presented before court pleaded not guilty to the crime and was said to have pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
He has been granted bail of N1,000,000.00 and one surety while the case has been rescheduled to a different date.
