Argentine star and FC Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi has been crowned the winner of the 2019 Ballon D’or.

Earlier, there was a leaked document that appeared to show Lionel Messi as the Ballon d’Or winner, his sixth triumph, with Virgil van Dijk the runner-up ahead of his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.
