I Have Nowhere To Go, I Will Die At Zylofon Music – Kumi Guitar
Pioneering signee of Zylofon Media Kumi Guitar has disclosed that the record label has been so good to him that despite the controversies surrounding the label’s sister company, Menzgold, he will not leave.
The ‘I have a dream’ hitmaker believes he is an integral part of the record label, for which reason he will stay regardless.
“Oh no, I can’t leave…for me, I always say I’m Zylofon,” he told Winston Amoah on 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise.
Kumi Guitar noted that even though there are media reports that some of his colleagues have left the record label, he will not leave because they are different people with different aspirations.
The reports last year suggested that gospel artiste, Joyce Blessing, who was also signed to the label, had left.
Although it is not quite clear the reasons for her leaving, many suspects it had something to do with the issues at Menzgold, a gold dealership firm owned by the Zylofon Media boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, who is currently on the police wanted list.
Kumi Guitar, born Nana Yaw Kumi, explained that one thing may work differently for different people, depending on the individuals but not necessarily because the thing is bad, noting Zylofon Media has been good to him.
He admits times are hard not just for the record label he belongs to but also for everybody.
He is hopeful that all those who have their investments locked up at Menzgold, including himself, will have them.
