A number of suspects have been apprehended by the Nigeria Police in relation to the destruction and attempted loot of The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC).
In the craze of looting and vandalism ongoing in Nigeria, some youths targeted the NYSC as a place where some palliatives that needed to have been distributed to citizens were being kept.
Due to that, some of them stormed the place in an attempt to loot the items. They carted some items like stationery, uniforms, boots and mattresses but they have been arrested.
Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim emphasized that the NYSC is not hoarding any COVID-19 Palliative as rumored. He therefore cautioned the youth to cease the looting attempts at NYSC camps.
