Reports making rounds on Twitter Niger asserts that members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have attacked and burnt down the Ebonyi state Central Police Station in Abakaliki.
Sources have it that the suspected members of the aforementioned group also destroyed cars, tricycles and motorcycles parked in the compound.
According to a member of IPOB who spoke in a video which has gone viral on the internet; their violence was a payback to the police who killed 7 of their members during a cleanup exercise/protest around major cities in the southeast and south geo-political zones.
Speaking to the media, Philip Maku the DCOP of the police station said;
“We are the ones being brutalised. One of the two Policemen that were wounded last week later died “I don’t know who those people are
