The silence from Aso Rock amid the killings in Nigeria is a bit worrying and has given Nigerians reasons to believe that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E Mahammudu Buhari died in 2017.

As usual, this post is to attract answers and not to conclude on the opinions sighted on social media which will be attached to this piece.

In the beginning of the uproar in Nigeria, there’s been one popular demand from the Nigerian Youth – they want to hear from President Buhari, and not just any floor member.

Prior to the announcement of SWAT which was to replace SARS, a pre-recorded tape of the Nigerian President, Buhari addressing the nation on the steps taken to resolve the ongoing rift between civilians and the government. But, Nigerians were not pleased as they demanded he spoke to them on live TV just as Osibanjo, Governor of Lagos, and others have done so far.

Weeks after, a massacre in Lekki followed as Soldiers opened fire on peaceful protestors. But that hasn’t triggered the president of Nigeria to speak, not even the recent killing of civilians by security personnel in various towns in Lagos.

Since Buhari is still mute as at the time of this report, Nigerians have started assuming under the hashtag #BuhariIsDead that they do not have any president.

Taking about #BuhariIsDead, a tweet from Eric Stuart Joyce, who is a British politician, & former military officer in 2017 gives netizens reasons to believe that Buhari is actually dead.

“The president of one of the world’s largest and most sensitive countries died in London today.In our main news bulletins, not a word.#Buhari,” – Eric tweeted on May 19, 2017, exactly 10 days after Nigerian President Buhari was taken to London for treatment for an undisclosed illness.

If Eric’s tweet is anything to go by, then Nigerians may be dealing with a strong and unknown force, until then we can only wait for an official announcement.

However, the questions are;

Who is the man we’ve been seeing lately?

Who is currently in Aso Rock?

Who is ruling Nigeria?

Who should be blamed?
