Npp staunch supporter and gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has come out to explain why she spoke her viral English – to wit – ‘The battery is the Lord’s’ which subjected her to a big troll on the internet.
As argued by the gospel singer, she didn’t mistake as Ghanaians have suggested but rather, she was speaking American English.
During an appearance on Nana Ama McBrown’s ‘United Showbiz’ show last Saturday;
She told McBrown that she did not say the ‘battery’ as Ghanaians are saying but she said ‘barry’ – an American slang.
Diana Asamoah said she was speaking American English and was slurring her words.
In the course of the interview, Diana Asamoah also contended that if not for Nana Addo’s free SHS policy, all the students who are enjoying the initiative would have been armed robbers by now.
