Ghanaian Movie “The Burial Of Kojo” To Be Premiered On Netflix From March 31

Ghanaian movie ‘The Burial of Kojo’ written and directed by musical artist and movie director Samuel Blitz Bazawule has been acquired by Ava Duverney’s ARRAY and would debut on Netflix soon.

ARRAY is now the official distributor of the movie and the distribution rights extend to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

The much anticipated movie is expected to be premiered on Netflix March 31.

The Burial of Kojo is an official selection of the 2019 Pan African Film Festival and the 2018 Urbanworld Film Festival Best Narrative Feature Winner.

The narrative feature movie talks about a young girl’s magical journey to rescue his father (Kojo) who was trapped in a mine shaft by his vengeful brother.

Film maker Ama K. Abebrese who’s also a cast and narrator of the story shared the good news on her social media handles.

“I’m sooooo happy to announce that our film The Burial Of Kojo is coming to Netflix from 31st March 2019. It has been acquired by Ava Duverney’s ARRAY

The Burial of Kojo deal was negotiated by Gordon Bobb of Del, Shaw, Moonves, Tanaka, Finkelstein & Lezcano on behalf of ARRAY as well as Samuel Wilson of Salzano, Jackson & Lampert, LLP for the filmmaker.
