American born Nigerian singer known by his stage name Davido; Has publicly made it known that he was pained for not landing a feature on Beyonce’s top-notch globally acclaimed music project titled The Lion King: The Gift album.
During an interview On Black Box hosted by Ebuka, the DMW boss confessed that he was hurt after the music project was finally premiered and he was left out.
According to Davido, he strongly believes some gatekeepers in the Nigerian music industry sabotaged him to Beyonce and her team reason he was ignored.
Going forward, Davido also added that he was shocked to the core after he got to know that all the top acts in Nigeria were granted a feature on the project but he was deserted.
In his own words;
…Honestly, to tell you the truth, it was something that they planned to nap on me on the album. Do you know the funny thing? I have producers that worked on the album… they’re my friends but they didn’t tell me they were working on the album…
When asked if he felt bad, Davido responded:
…Of course, I left bad, I won’t lie to you. I was hurt. The whole industry on one album…but I know that it was planned. Like I said they keep planning against me but it won’t work… I know that they planned that thing for me but shout outs to Beyonce. I wish her success. It was a beautiful album…
In other news, Davido was in the news three days ago after he added a Lamborghini Huracan to his fleet of expensive cars.
During an interview on the Bounce Radio last Monday too, the FEM crooner also bragged that he will be worth billions of dollars if he quits music to work in one of his father’s firms revealing that all his siblings are richer than him.
