Ghanaian rapper and singer who performs under the stage name Fameye, has revealed that he stopped going to church because his hairstyle which is dreadlocks was criticized by his then church members.
According to the promising act who is best known for his hit single dubbed “Nothing I get“, he was fed up with the endless-pointless and needless criticisms which were thrown at him every Sunday.
The reigning new best artiste of the year at the just ended VGMA’s additionally disclosed that, he also received a congregation backlash for putting on earrings.
During an interview, the musician who seemed to still have a special interest for attending Sunday church service(s) said;
…I don’t go to church but I pray a lot. I stopped going to church after my hairstyle was constantly criticized…some women in the church always complained about my hairstyle and the way I wear earrings..I got tired of the criticisms so I stopped attending church...
