Finally, one of the ladies who accused and lynched a 90-year-old woman in Kafaba has been arrested and broken her silence.
The lady identified as Latifah Bumaye during an interrogative session with the Salaga Divisional Police Headquarters said she was possessed and did not know she was torturing her grandmother.
Latifah, aged 25, said prior to the incident, some men had caught her forcefully and smeared a powdery substance on her face.
According to her, when she saw the video of her whipping the deceased, she asked those around where she got the different apparel from when she was previously in cloth.
Latifah Bumaye arrested today, July 31, 2020, at her hideout at about 09:30 pm on Thursday after someone tipped the police off.
