Popular Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kwabena Bonney, alias DKB is crying on social media over fears of having a flopped show come next week Friday.
The popular comedian has taken to social media to react to low ticket sales for his much anticipated virtual comedy show dubbed “MULTI-CORONA EDITION“.
Though the event which comes off on July 24, 2020, will see performances from the likes of Clemento Suarez, OB, Jacinta, MJ, Warris, Foster Romanus, Lekzy, and DKB, only five people had purchased the tickets which were made available on Veventgh.com as at Monday, July 13, 2020.
A disappointed DKB took to social media to share a screenshot of the number of purchases recorded so far as he cried out to Ghanaians to show him love by purchasing the tickets for his upcoming concert.
He wrote;
“I’m very disappointed, so after all times I’ve made you laugh, do you reward me by refusing to purchase just 20gh tickets to my virtual comedy show?
So far only 5 early bird tickets bought, which is very very embarrassing.
If we say we want our comedy industry to grow and out of millions of people only 5 buy tickets, I wonder how this growth will be achieved.
I intentionally priced the ticket very low so it doesn’t became a nuisance and you still don’t feel like purchasing, then you never really cared about us.
To be honest how much damage will 20gh do to your mobile money account.
Whatever you doing when your own people support their is growth for everyone because we’ll also be useful to you one day, our counterparts in Nigeria keep expanding from ambassador deal to ambassador deal, while we are here wallowing in 5 tickets.
This is the time to prove your support for Ghana comedy and no other time again.
Anyway, Its fine, I can’t force you to support our works, it’s your choice, but hopefully one day our redemption will come.
If you think it’s a lie, I’ll send you proof shortly.
Thank you 🚶”
